A Second Chance Bail Bonds Blog
I think these are two of the most powerful words you can think of. They are from different parts of the spectrum and when they meet in the middle. There is nothing buy chaos and havoc all around you. We are in such a troubled time in this world because it seems as if hate is overcoming love in this world. As a strong believer in Jesus Christ, I know the ultimate feeling of love. There were so many times when life beat me up because I chose to self love and hate on others in so many aspects of life. I was a selfish, self-centered, self-seeking person who only knew how to seek love for himself. How can we expect anything different from the world if all they know is self-love, self-culture and self inflicted pain.
We let the mainstream news destroy our minds with hate and we let them zone in on small parts of what is going on in this nation so we can be divided and it is sad to see. There doesn’t have to be division but because of the hate that is put at the forefront of our minds, we react and end up with another story about hate. All I can talk about with Jesus is love. Love can make a difference in this world, whereas, hate can only continue to destroy this world.
We have scripture that can tell us exactly what love should look like:
1 Corinthians 13:4-8
4)Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.
5) It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs.
6)Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth
7)It always protects, always trust, always hopes, always perseveres.
8)Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.
We have the best description of what love is too look like. Yet, all we know how to do right now is point out the wrongs in other people or other cultures. We don’t take the time to understand other people or get to know other people that do different than us or act different than us. We see it flooding in society today and it is only going to lead to destruction for the next generation and our kids.
I am challenging you today to make a difference today in this world that we live in. We look to the eternal life of heaven and not the things of this world but while we are here, we can make a difference by flooding the world with the love of Jesus Christ. I am challenging you to take your eyes off of all of the hate and start turning to others in love. “Be the change you wish to see in this world.” It is a famous quote and it is true. We can either join the world in hate and watch it diminish before our eyes or we can show the world what love looks like through scripture. Lets start with our own community today and love someone we don’t know today see the light of the world.
I hope everyone has a blessed day!
