As long as a person is incarcerated and involved in a trial but not convicted, you will be able to post bail. There is a process of posting bail and usually a set amount of time for you to post bail. In the case of less serious crimes, you will pay a lesser bail amount and you can also usually get bailed out much sooner. In the case of lesser crimes, you may only need to wait just 48 hours in order to receive a bail hearing.

There are some jurisdictions that may take longer to set bail especially in cases where a person has a history of avoiding their past court appearances, they have a criminal record or they have committed a serious crime. Once the bail has been set, you can establish a way to handle bail payments.
